Hours before the news that Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo, she shared a set of cryptic Instagram Stories.

The country star filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tenn., on May 18, according to documents obtained and court records viewed by PEOPLE on Monday, June 15. TMZ was the first to report the news.

Just before news of the divorce filing became public, Bunnie Xo posted a photo of herself in lingerie, as she posed, taking off her bra strap. The text overlay read in small print: “She’s getting her sparkle back ✨.” Metric’s “Help I’m Alive” soundtracked the photo.

News of Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll’s split comes after nearly 10 years of marriage, during which they frequently opened up about the ups and downs of their relationship. The pair met at one of Jelly Roll’s concerts at Las Vegas’ Country Saloon in 2015. They were engaged in 2016, and the same evening of the proposal, the pair secretly tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony without telling friends or family. Then in 2023, the couple returned to the same chapel to renew their wedding vows.

More recently, at the 2026 Grammy Awards in February, the pair packed on the PDA throughout the evening.

At the ceremony, after he won Best Contemporary Country Album, the singer, born Jason DeFord, became emotional during his speech and thanked his “beautiful” wife, saying, “I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail. I would have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that,” PEOPLE previously reported.

Reps for both stars did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.
