“THE FRIENDSHIP WORKS — THE MUSIC DOESN’T” — TAYLOR SWIFT AND ED SHEERAN’S COLLABORATIONS FACE A SAVAGE NEW VERDICT 🎶🔥 Taylor and Ed have one of pop music’s most genuine friendships. They understand each other, support each other and share the kind of creative history fans adore. Yet a controversial new opinion argues that every time they enter the studio together, the result somehow feels smaller than either artist alone. Two brilliant storytellers. Two instantly recognisable voices. But critics say the chemistry everyone expects never fully arrives. And one specific collaboration is now being singled out as proof that friendship does not always translate into musical magic.

Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran: Let’s just be friends, please don’t make music together, because…

Yes, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are close friends, but a collaboration between them might be something to reconsider…

Taylor Swift  and  Ed Sheeran  can be considered one of the most close friends in music. Their friendship is so strong that they’ve made an unspoken agreement: if they both remain single until they turn 30, they’ll marry each other.

But of course, that fairytale wedding never happened, although the two still maintain an extremely close relationship. Without any pretense or ostentation, but with genuine sincerity, it’s not easy to find a pair of friends like Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran in Hollywood.

Ed and Taylor are a truly supportive duo, with both their music careers steadily progressing. Their albums boast impressive sales and chart achievements, their singles dominate the global music scene, and their stadium tours generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.

One might think that when these two best friends collaborate, the song would be a massive hit, especially considering Taylor Swift has had 8 #1 Billboard Hot 100 hits and Ed Sheeran also has one number-one hit. But no, looking at the track record of collaborations between Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, their respective fanbases can only plead: just be friends, don’t make music together… Don’t believe it?

First up is the song “Everything Has Changed,” released in 2013, with its melodious tune. The two young actors in the music video also bear a striking resemblance to Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran in real life. Despite being incredibly popular with fans, ” Everything Has Changed” only reached a modest 32nd position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Next, in her dark album Reputation, Taylor Swift once again invited Ed Sheeran to contribute to the song End Game. With its catchy, fast-paced melody, unfortunately, End Game only modestly reached number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Most recently, the song The Joker And The Queen (remix) also marks the third time Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift have collaborated on a song. The Joker And The Queen (remix) is the fourth single from Ed Sheeran’s album (Equal) . And, like the two previous songs, this track only reached #21 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Overall, the chart positions aren’t too low, and the quality of the songs is very good, but they certainly don’t live up to the reputation of the two artists involved. Do you agree? It seems like having two such big names collaborating on a song makes it “heavy-hearted,” making it difficult to climb the charts…
