PRINCE Louis told how his sister Princess Charlotte jokes with him over his handstands when they met Team Wales athletes at the Commonwealth Games.
Prince George said he is “rubbish at anything that involves flexibility” when asked if he could do a handstand too.
And Prince William joked “you know me and lycra” when para-athlete Olivia Breen said he could wear the Welsh cycling outfit to ride a tandem bike in the velodrome with Princess Kate.
The proud royal parents also revealed Charlotte loves gymnastics and ballet dancing.
The extraordinary conversation came as the kids joined William and Kate at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland today.
At the end of their busy day, which involved watching netball and cycling, they sat down and chatted and laughed with athletes from Team Wales at Wales House in Glasgow.

The kids revealed their favourite sports in an unprecedentedly open conversation while their proud parents – known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay when in Scotland – spoke of their achievements.
Kate turned to her youngest and said: “Louis, you’re perfecting your handstand at the moment.”
He replied with his arms crossed: “A bit. But Charlotte says I’m no good.”
Twin gymnasts Abigail and Emily Roper, who won bronze medals within an hour of each other this week, then asked if Charlotte can do one. She said “yeah”.
When they asked George the same question, he and Kate laughed as he told them: “I’m rubbish at anything that involves flexibility.”
Charlotte also told them her favourite part of gymnastics is the floor, with Kate adding: “Charlotte likes her dancing.”
William chipped in: “She loves gymnastics and ballet.”
The Welsh gymnasts presented her with a signed leotard, and Louis updated their medal table because Team Wales had won two more gold medals.
The eight-year-old took the giant No 7 sticker and placed it on the board.
He returned to his father’s side with his head bowed shyly, with William telling him well done and rubbing his back.
William, George, Charlotte and Louis then sat down with Para-athletes Aled Davies, and Olivia Breen, and 400m runner Charlotte Henrich, while mum Kate stayed talking to the gymnasts.
Louis said he recently took part in his first sports day at school and George told them that his favourite event is the javelin.
When Kate joined them at the table, she was told: “Louis was saying he likes high jump.”
She turned to her son and asked: “Louis, you like high jump?”
He replied “yeah” as William joked: “That’s news to us!”
TV presenter Gethin Jones, part of the Welsh team officials, then interrupted the conversation to announce that Wales had just won another gold medal, prompting the entire room to erupt into whoops and applause.
Charlotte was invited to update the medal tally to eight golds.
Back at the table, Kate said former Olympic champion Laura Kenny was trying to get them involved in the velodrome, saying: “Come and give it a go!”
She added, laughing: “I did say be careful what you wish for as they want to put us on a tandem bike in the velodrome.”
Gethin responded saying: “Oh please, please can we absolutely make that happen.”
Olivia joked: “It’s that or you have to run the London marathon,” after William told them that former cyclist Laura had just run a sub-four marathon without any training.
“Fair enough,” he said. “Well if that’s the ultimatum, riding a tandem bike, definitely!”
Each of the children were then handed a teddy bear of Gwen, the Welsh dragon, and a goodie bag featuring the Welsh cycling outfit, which were also handed to the Prince and Princess.
Olivia joked that William and Kate could wear the outfits when they ride the tandem, prompting the Prince to joke, “You know me and Lycra!”
As he pulled the top out of the bag he held up a tiny shirt, having accidentally been given one of the children’s tops, prompting hearty laughter from the table.
“I won’t whip the shorts out,” he joked.
Gethin turned to the Wales children and asked: “Would you like to see mum and dad on a tandem in the velodrome later?”
George immediately replied: “No!”
Kate, seated beside him, burst out laughing while William replied: “We embarrass you enough as it is.”
The family then thanked their hosts before heading home after a busy day out.
Earlier in the day Wills and Kate beamed as they sat with George, Charlotte and Louis to watch a tense women’s netball semi-final clash between World No 1 Australia and Birmingham 2022 silver medallists Jamaica.
The children also gave high fives and fist bumps to mascot Finnie before going off to see cycling in the velodrome, where cheeky Louis wore a bucket hat reading “Beicio Cymru”, which means Welsh Cycling.
The family was joined by Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex – the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh – for the cycling.
It was the first public appearance in Scotland for George, 13, Charlotte, 11, and Louis, eight, who have all been to the country privately before including to stay at Balmoral each summer.
Today marked the first time Prince Louis attended a major sporting event and just his second official public engagement.
Louis, who is famous for his playful antics and his unfiltered facial expressions, regularly attends set-piece royal events such as the Christmas and Easter church services and Trooping the Colour, but he has only ever attended one public engagement.
This was in May 2023 as part of the King’s Coronation celebrations, where he joined his parents and siblings at a Big Help Out volunteering initiative.
But he has never attended a major sporting event before, unlike his older siblings who often join their parents at key football and tennis events like the Euros and Wimbledon.
