Meghan Markle’s surprising 9-word comment to pregnant singer
The Duchess of Sussex made the comment to the pregnant singer at the gala.
A pregnant singer has revealed what Meghan Markle said to her at a gala in Canada last week. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised royal fans as they stepped out last Friday at a David Foster 40th anniversary celebration for his foundation in Victoria, Canada.
The couple were all smiles throughout the evening as they enjoyed good food, watched performances, and even posed for photographs on the red carpet. Both Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, also got the chance to meet some of the gala performers. This included pregnant singer Pia Toscano, who performed “Feeling Good” at the gala.
Toscano said she approached Harry and Meghan at the head table after she took to the stage, and spoke to the duchess about pregnancy.
She told Page Six that Meghan touched her pregnant stomach and congratulated her, before making a surprising nine-word comment.
Meghan reportedly said: “This is the most beautiful time of your life.”
This kind comment from the duchess was believed to have come from the heart, with Meghan being a proud mum to Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five.
Prince Harry’s wife has spoken many times about her love for motherhood, even referring to her role as a mum as her superpower.
This summer, Meghan appeared in a new video promoting Cookie Queens, a documentary Archewell Productions produced.
In the new Tasty video, Meghan appeared alongside Cookie Queens director Alysa Nahmias and three Girl Scouts – Niki, Shannon-Elizabeth and Olive.
She was asked what her superpower was, replying “being a mom”.
She explained: “I feel like we have superpowers because we juggle it all. And enjoy it all with grace and grit at the same time.”
