One of Dolly Parton‘s final video messages was a thank you to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their sizable donation to one of her most prolific charitable endeavors.

Parton, who died at 80 on Tuesday, Aug. 25, shared the sweet and humorous video on Instagram on July 3, the day the couple married. In the clip, Parton can be seen in an all-white look and her signature intricately detailed makeup.

“Taylor and Travis, it’s Dolly, and I was just told that you two were making a donation of $2 million to my Imagination Library,” Parton said of the donation. “I’m blown away and overjoyed with that gratitude.”

“Now, it’s evident, that you have made giving back a key part of your lives, so hey, when you have you firstborn, can I have it? Because that is gonna be one special baby!” Parton joked.

Swift and Kelce’s gift would help her organization continue its mission “even in bigger ways now with your money,” Parton said.

“So, thank you, and know that I will always love you,” Parton concluded, ending the clip referencing her 1974 hit song and blowing a kiss to the camera.

“Thank you @taylorswift and @killatrav for the generous gift to @imaginationlibrary! ❤️ I wish you both the best, and know that I will always love you,” Parton captioned the video.

Parton and Swift, 36, had a longstanding friendship, with the “9 to 5” singer offering support to the 14-time Grammy winner as her career began in Nashville in the early aughts. Swift later penned and performed the song “Crazier” for Parton’s goddaughter Miley Cyrus‘ film Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009.

Parton’s Imagination Library has provided books to American children from underserved communities and donated more than 200 million books worldwide since its founding in 1995. The philanthropic organization began by focusing on Parton’s hometown of Sevierville, Tenn. in the Smoky Mountains.

“I know there are children in communities around the world with big dreams and the seeds of these dreams are often found in books,” said Parton in a 2023 statement. “It’s been one of my greatest gifts in life to help instill a love of reading through my Imagination Library.”

Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced his aunt’s death in an Instagram video on Aug. 25, months after the cancellation of her 2025 residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas due to “health challenges.”

In a November 2025 cover story, Parton opened up to PEOPLE about her then-upcoming 80th birthday, and her hopes for the remainder of her life and career.

“I’m at that point in my life where I just want to be able to do good things that can be carried on,” Parton told PEOPLE at the time. “I’m proud of my legacy so far, and I hope to just continue to do things that might be of use to other people.”
