Sarah Ferguson is reportedly set to return to the UK, just days after Prince Harry’s bombshell return. According to new reports, the former Duchess of York is currently renting a £10,000-a-week, six-bed property. Her new refuge is said to be somewhere in the Home Counties.
The 66-year-old left the UK at the start of 2026 to escape a wave of scandals linked to the Royal Family’s ties with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. King Charles ordered the disgraced former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to vacate Royal Lodge while Fergie was left to find independent living arrangements. It is now reported that she will return to the UK and “get back to her life”.
According to The Sun, the home is located in the Home Counties, which include Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, and Surrey. However, the exact location is unknown.
A source said: “She’s had her eyes on a return for some time but it takes time to find the right new house.
“She hasn’t had to worry about accommodation for 20 years as she had Royal Lodge with Andrew. Now’s the right time to get back to her life.
“With everyone looking out for Harry and Meghan she thought she could slip back under the radar after seven months away.”
It’s reported that removal vans collected some of her belongings from Andrew’s home in Sandringham earlier this week. She is expected to move into her new home by Monday (August 31).

Fergie voluntarily stopped using her Duchess of York title in October 2025 after her ex-husband was stripped of his titles. She was then also stripped of her final civic title, the Freedom of the City of York, at the end of March.
Following the release of the Epstein files earlier this year, Fergie’s charity, Sarah’s Trust, announced it would close while six of her commercial companies face dissolution. She has since kept a low profile and turned down a number of interview requests.
It was previously reported that Fergie was staying at the Paracelsus Recovery luxury wellness clinic in Switzerland. She is also believed to have stayed at properties across Austria, Italy and France to remain out of the public eye.
