According to information from the Royal Household, the Princess of Wales plans to give her three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—time off from school so the family can celebrate her birthday privately together at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
To mark the occasion, King Charles III shared an unpublished photograph of the Princess of Wales on his official X (formerly Twitter) account yesterday, accompanied by a simple birthday message: “Wishing the Princess of Wales a very happy birthday.”

It is understood that the photograph was taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson inside Buckingham Palace, following King Charles’s coronation at Westminster Abbey in May 2023. In the image, Kate appears radiant, gazing toward the King as he wears the Imperial State Crown and converses with others.
The King’s gesture immediately drew widespread attention from royal fans, many of whom expressed admiration for the warmth within the Royal Family. Others interpreted it as a clear sign of Kate’s important position within the British monarchy and the Wales family in particular.

Since her marriage to Prince William in 2011, Kate is believed to have developed a close relationship with King Charles, bonded by shared interests in the arts and environmental causes. She has also earned his trust, frequently representing him at major events. Notably, during the state visit to Kenya in November last year, King Charles affectionately referred to Kate as his “beloved daughter-in-law,” highlighting the strong and respectful bond between them.
