The Mississippi students had travelled to Hawaii to perform during celebrations at Pearl Harbor when a sightseeing trip suddenly became a rescue mission. One teen’s lifeguard training took over as they fought to keep the exhausted stranger afloat and pull him safely back to shore. Only after the danger had passed did they discover the extraordinary connection: the drowning man was responsible for arranging the very trip that had brought his rescuers to Hawaii. But what he later told them about that moment made their reunion even more emotional.
