Sarah Ferguson may no longer call Royal Lodge home, but reports suggest many of her possessions are still sitting at the Windsor mansion. The former Duchess of York, 66, has kept a very low profile over the last 12 months following scandals surrounding her past friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

This has seen her leave Royal Lodge in Windsor, the home she and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, were evicted from, and move around from one secluded place to another. Her last-known location was a ski chalet in Austria, with reports now suggesting she is in Portugal helping Princess Eugenie with her newborn daughter. While Sarah is therefore distancing herself from both the UK and the Windsor mansion she once called home, it seems that this distance may have to come to an end at some point.

Sarah has reportedly left loads of her belongings behind at Royal Lodge, which she will one day have to either collect or decide what to do with.

This may come as no surprise to some royal watchers, with it being a well-known fact that Sarah had a lot of possessions, many of which reportedly came from Amazon.

Discussing Sarah’s possessions left at Royal Lodge, a source told RadarOnline.com: “Sarah still has what people are jokingly calling her ‘junk’ at Royal Lodge.

“It includes old furniture, clothes and editions of her books. There has even been joking about whether recycling the books would be the most practical solution.”

Another palace source told the publication: “Sarah’s priority right now is understandably Portugal and her new granddaughter, but the question remains over when she will return to Windsor and deal with everything she left behind.”

Sarah is believed to have left Royal Lodge before Andrew, 66, did. This is because the former Duke of York only left in February, moving to a temporary home on the King’s Sandringham Estate until his current home, Marsh Farm, was ready.

In the weeks before he moved, various removal vans were spotted going in and out of the mansion’s gates, with moving boxes being loaded into the vans.

Andrew has kept a low profile, like his ex-wife, over the last year. Since moving into the renovated Marsh Farm, he has only been seen a handful of times, either driving nearby or walking his dogs.
