A PILOT and his passenger who died when a small plane crashed during a “flight experience” have been pictured.

Investigators confirmed 26-year-old pilot Dylan Patel from Harlow and his 24-year-old passenger Vamshi Mandala from India passed away in the deadly smash.

The horror collision happened on June 30, when the pair’s light aircraft came down in a field near Ongar, Essex.

Dylan and Vamshi’s two-seater Cessna plane had taken off from North Weald Airfield a short time before the plane plunged to the ground.

The fatal accident happened amid what was supposed to be a short “flying experience”, investigators said.

Cops said that the families of the victims “will be supported” and treated with “dignity and respect.”

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch led the probe into the terrifying accident.

Detective Chief Superintendent Morgan Cronin said: “My thoughts, and those of my officers, are with the family and friends of Vamshi and Dylan as they continue to grieve.

“The process of formal identification has been a complex one and one we have carried out with utmost sensitivity.

“I want to thank those who responded to the incident and who have continued to investigate for the way they’ve carried out their work, ensuring the dignity of Vamshi and Dylan.

“We continue to work in parallel with the Air Accident Investigation Bureau so we can give their families the answers they need about what happened.”
