Suffolk police warn boy, 3, ‘won’t respond to name’ after vanishing from playground

Police have warned a missing three-year-old boy won’t respond to his own name being called as more than 100 people have reportedly joined the search for him.
Police have launched a massive search operation for Noah, using a helicopter and conducting door-to-door enquries to locate the toddler. More than 100 people have also joined the search to find him, but officers have warned he will not respond to his name being called, according to the BBC.
He is described as white, with curly ginger hair, wearing a Bluey t-shirt, shorts, and white trainers at the time. Police have also confirmed he is non-verbal, partially deaf, and autistic.
“I apologise that we haven’t been able to reply sooner however I am sure you appreciate the volume of resources that are assisting with this and the sheer volume of contact from the public that our staff and officers are dealing with.”
Superintendent Pete Partridge also urged the public to co-ordinate efforts with cops. He said in a statement: “We are very concerned for Noah’s welfare and need to find him as a matter of urgency.
“A vast number of resources have been deployed by ourselves, our emergency services colleagues and volunteers from SULSAR. These resources have been bolstered by members of the public who have turned out in large numbers to assist and we are incredibly grateful for their help and support.
“Given that fast-moving nature of the investigation, it is important that any public searches are coordinated with police to ensure we are working together, and that our resources are directed where they can be most effective.”
In a new update late on Tuesday evening, a police spokesperson thanked the public for their support.
Commenting on the original Facebook post announcing the hunt for Noah, a spokesperson for Suffolk Constabulary said: “Thank you all for your comments, it is overwhelming to read the support people are offering.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: “We are assisting Suffolk Constabulary with an incident at Brantham by sending an HM Coastguard helicopter and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Felixstowe and Holbrook.”
