Michelle Collins has called out The View after claiming she was not asked back for the show’s 30th season.

Collins, 45, whose time on the show ended in 2016 after serving as a co-host for one season, discussed the show’s upcoming anniversary after Rosie O’Donnell, 64, claimed on The Tangle with Kyle Ridley podcast that she was asked back as a guest.

In a video posted on Instagram on Monday, Aug. 3, Collins said she was currently in Milan, Italy, and had just learned that O’Donnell said during the podcast appearance that “she heard all the co-hosts from The View were being asked back for the 30th season.”

“Now that was news to me, maybe because I’m traveling so much, my invite somehow got lost,” she said. “But I’ve not heard from anyone from the show.”

Collins said she “found that really interesting” because she has “always behaved very professionally about the show.”

Meanwhile, a representative for O’Donnell told Entertainment Weekly that “there was a mention of inviting some of the hosts back to The View as a guest during season 30, [but] there has not been a formal ask from the show at this time.”

“I was number 15 back in 2015, despite what they’ll have you believe; I was named a co-host,” Collins said, noting that she “never talked s–t” about the show after being “unceremoniously let go” and “never went public with anything because I thought that was professional. “

“But now I’m starting to think maybe that was dumb. Maybe I should have because all those other people are being asked back,” she said.

Collins claimed that she was addressing the show’s 30th season because she’s “gotten a lot of questions asking me if I’m coming back for season 30.”

“Right now, TBD, we don’t know, but yeah, I would love to hear from them,” she said. “Would certainly love to, and we’ll leave it at that.”

She tagged the show in the caption, writing “theviewabc do you need my new address??”

No plans have been announced for the anniversary special yet.

The former talk show host previously discussed her time on The View during an April 2024 episode of the Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang podcast.

“I have bitten my tongue about a lot of the things that went on there,” she said. “I think partially due to light PTSD and then just also being raised in a family home where we took the high road.”

“I find it ugly and frankly, you know, it took me a long time to kind of come to terms with the fact that it was and still is the biggest thing I’ve really ever done and allowed me the opportunity to gain fans,” continued Collins. “I had the SiriusXM show. You know, all these things happened because of that.”

Noting that she can’t “spit” on where she “came from,” she claimed at the time that, “It does frustrate me a hair that I have behaved so well, and then this show has absolutely never invited me back.”
