orn and raised in California, the UK is a whole new world to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s daughter, Princess Lilibet, who moved to England in August.
With so much to discover on UK shores, the little Princess is likely to find lots of new favourite things in her new life – and Prince Harry gave an insight into her tastes at the Wellchild Awards in London last week.
Meeting a six-year-old little girl who was wearing a super sparkly pair of shoes, Prince Harry queried: “Where did you get these? These are amazing, can I touch them? Woah! You obviously love sparkles.”
© Getty ImagesSharing Lilibet’s love of glitter, he continued: “I have a boy and a girl who are seven and five. My little girl loves sparkles and she loves pink. That’s her favourite colour.”
A love of pink is something five-year-old Lilibet has in common with her older cousin, Princess Charlotte, 11.
© Max Mumby/IndigoThe Princess of Wales shared her daughter’s favourite colour back in 2017 during a visit to Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London. A child who Princess Kate met revealed: “She asked me what my favourite color is. I said it was pink, and she said that’s Charlotte’s favourite colour too.”
Of course, several years have passed since then, and Charlotte might have moved on from pink – though her nails were painted in the shade when she attended Wimbledon in 2025, so she likely is still a fan.

While Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s faces are obscured from view when Meghan shares photos of them on Instagram, Prince Harry is happily sharing insights into their lives since returning to the UK.
As well as Lilibet’s penchant for pink, the Wellchild awards also saw the Duke reveal the film his children love: “Every time my kids want to watch something, it’s Minions. I’m obsessed, but not as much as my kids.”
© InstagramHe also surprised This Morning‘s Alison Hammond back in July when he shared that his kids “love” The Great British Bake Off‘s junior spinoff. “My kids love Junior Bake Off,” he revealed. “Absolutely love it. And I love it as well. It’s far better than the grown-up version.”
Little Lilibet is also a fan of Disney princesses – convenient, given she is a princess herself!
© InstagramMeghan’s friend, chef Adrian Lipscombe, revealed that Lilibet was firmly in her “princess phase” in a 2025 social media post defending the Duchess from online hate.
“I’ve had the pleasure of meeting @meghan over food, and let me tell you, she and her well-known significant other are some of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met,” he wrote. “We talked about our families (mostly about our daughters being in their princess phase and the movies they love) and, of course, about food.”
